You are an experienced and competent software/backend developer with more than 4 years experience in developing and maintaining web based applications and services aimed at providing a high quality end user experience for tasks such as product support, firmware update, cloud interaction and audio product delivery.

This role will be uniquely placed to run and develop a suite of standalone web services and product support web applications that interface with the ever growing suite of digital audio products being developed and released in the commercial audio sector.

You will be expected to develop and write high quality code for web-based applications and manage the hosting/network infrastructure and delivery of these services to Rode product consumers.  Close collaboration with the audio product software/firmware teams will be key in order efficiently diagnose and resolve issues with these services and products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, building and maintaining web based software applications
  • Manage hosting environments of these web based services both on internal Rode systems and cloud delivered platforms (AWS, Azure etc.)
  • Develop and maintain web components such as user management, ecommerce solutions, product support, OTA firmware updates and network enabled audio services.
  • Identify third-party development paths and libraries/packages to supplement these web services.
  • Manage QA testing, troubleshooting and debugging of deployed web based services.
  • Liaise with the software/firmware/production teams to capture problem descriptions and solutions for current and future web services.

You will require the following skills and experience to be successful:

  • More than 4 years experience as a web developer and/or backend software developer. 
  • Demonstrable experience working with cloud based solutions and providers AWS Certifications
  • Azure Certifications
  • Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Network Engineer (or similar)
  • Expertise in Node, Java, JavaScript and AWS/Azure
  • Competent and solid knowledge of HTML/CSS/PHP
  • Experience with eCommerce servers: CMS, ERP etc
  • Experience developing user management web services
  • Understanding of security practices
  • Familiarity with network diagnostics tools
