Rare (2019 short film)

Watch the Behind The Scenes:

"Rare" was created to experiment with strong colored lights and explore an alternate timeline. The first draft of the script held on one page only with most of the world-building happening in only 2 sentences. It was shot with a Panasonic GH5s in Cinelike-V with the Sigma 18-35 and a Speedbooster. Total shooting time was 6pm to 11pm in one evening. The futuristic skyline is made of multiple pictures I took in various cities. The team was kept small with only 5 people on set and everyone doing 2-3 jobs. The main sound recordist is the dead father in the film but thankfully we don't see him in most of the shots so he was able to properly boom the dialogue as a soundie, not as a corpse.
