Watch the Behind The Scenes:

For audio, we used a Rode VideoMic Pro with Rycote Lyre (VMPR) as our main microphone. It's mounted on a monopod as a makeshift boom pole and it feeds directly to an external recorder (Zoom H1) to be synced in post later.

For visuals, we used a Canon 550D as our only camera. A 17-50 f2.8 lens was used. LED lights with diffusers were used as key and edge lights for our cast. We also use softboxes to light the background with fill.

The entire set was arranged and shot in a theatre hall in a local university. It provided good ambient sound, as well as a ready setting with floorboards, mirrors, seats and curtains. The crew had to rearrange them to fit our shots.

For technique, the wide shots and ending closeups were filmed on a tripod. The dialogue shots were all filmed handheld to express a more real and raw emotion. Tracking shots were filmed handheld as well to express emotional unstability of the character.
