The D Word - Rode Reel 2019

Watch the Behind The Scenes:

This film was shot over several different locations, each intended to represent a sensation or feeling. This might have been the cold, or being trapped, or feeling alone in vast empty spaces, so the locations were thoroughly scouted before the commencement of shooting.

A large portion of the film was shot on 16mm film. Not only does this format lend itself to the subject through it's physical textures, but it was also used as a device to clearly separate what's happening physically and figuratively to the main character, contrasting with the digital format representing his reality.

The sound was recorded using a RODE NTG3 microphone.
