My RØDE Reel 2019 | Short Film "Dead End"

Watch the Behind The Scenes:

The short film is shot with the Osmo Zenmuse X3 and the Samsung Galaxy S8+ as the primary camera.

For audio, I used a RØDE Videomic Pro attached on a Zoom h6 for field audio recording, ADR and foley.

For my approach in shooting this short film, I embraced DIY filmmaking techniques inspired by Robert Rodriguez's first film and guerrilla filmmaking in general and shot with limited camera gears described above (what I have at my disposal at the moment) and paid attention to composition and camera placement rather than using run and gun techniques to avoid jittery camera found in mobile phone filmmaking.

As for location, the short film is shot on one weekend in Genting Highlands at a cliff near the infamous Amber Court Apartment (One of the most haunted places in Malaysia. Gasp!).
