Followed the basic film making process, to craft this film. We used the Sony a7s mark II for the main camera, together with the Zeiss 24-70mm f4, Canon 50mm & 85mm vintage lens. Camera support used would be the Manfrotto Tripod for the static shots & the Zhiyun Crane 2 for the panning shots. The camera Jib- up shot was emulated using a drone, the Mavic 2 Zoom.
Rode gear used on set is the Rode Videomic GO and the Rode Boom Pole 3.28m, and we used the Rode NT-USB Condenser Mic for foley and the radio DJ.
Challenges shooting in harsh Sunlight was fixed using a diffuser and noise from the surroundings was fixed with ambience and Sennheiser clip mics.
The film was edited in Adobe premiere pro & colour graded in Davinci Resolve. Color palette aimed for this film goes towards a warm undersaturated look with green in the shadows as well as skintone isolation. The underworld shot was edited in After Effects, where elements such as fog solid masking, 3d camera tracking, was layered and blended with a thick blue grade.
The light foleys like clothes movements and car cushion sounds are recorded indoor with pillow and clothes while heavy foleys like car engine sound and footsteps were recorded outdoor by re-enacting the actions and record it on a wood surface for footsteps. Then, the sound design of the Underworld scene are created from the mixture of changing pitches and paces of some of the Sound Designer's library sounds with some online sound effects.
