The Passion Project follows my journey as a seventeen-year-old pursuing my passion and elicits the importance of self-acceptance in today's creative society.
I filmed The Passion Project on a Canon 80D, where I used the RØDE Videomic Go as an attachment. As for the voice-overs, I used The RØDE NT-USB. The film was shot around my hometown in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and in my bedroom at home. I filmed most of the film and my best friend, Syd Callahan, volunteered to shoot the shots that I stared in. My sisters, Madison and McKenna Johnson, acted alongside me for a few scenes. The film was intended to be amateur-looking with a home video, coming-of-age style, since the plot was centered around growing up.
