A short docu-drama that focuses on people suffering from mental health issues and how it can affect lives in tragic ways.
Director of Photography
The film was shot at our local Art Centre over the course of 4 nights. We shot on the Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4K with the Sigma 50-100mm lens. Sound was recorded with the Tascam DR-40 and Rode NTG-1 and NTG-2 microphones.
We wanted to shoot in high contrast black and white as a metaphor for the dangers that surround mental health and have our subjects' address the camera directly as if to speak to the audience face to face.
It was an emotional shoot, with performances that blew us away in terms of raw power and emotion. We really hope that this inspires people to speak out and step forward so that we can break the stigma surrounding mental health.
