Forty Eight Hours was shot on a REDdragon at a 6k resolution. In order to keep costs down we managed to borrow a set of RED classic lenses which had intense "rainbow" lens flares for our night exteriors. Steadicam was used to create a frantic style of motion to add to the films intense pace. Strong color and contrast was built up using single sources of light and heavy gels. To top it all off we used the RODE NTG1 mic and a H4 Zoom recorder to collect audio.
