We are currently seeking Certificate III Engineering apprentices to join our program in 2024. We believe skills change lives and that apprenticeships can open doors to incredible careers. About the Apprenticeship:
You will complete a 4-year nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III Engineering with the opportunity to specialise in either Toolmaking Trade (MEM31519) or Fitting/Machining (MEM30219), through a combination of formal training with TAFE and practical on-the-job experience.
Both specialisations have identical 1st year training at TAFE, providing you the opportunity to specialise in the trade that is best suited to your abilities, at the end of the first year. This decision will be made in consultation with your manager and is to ensure that your skills are being leveraged to create the maximum value in your training, and for the company.
Our Apprenticeship offers excellent prospects with the potential for a full-time job in our team upon successful completion. This role is suitable for recent school leavers with a strong interest in engineering and or manufacturing with a good understanding of mathematics.
Certificate III Engineering – Toolmaking Trade (MEM31519)
As a Toolmaker, you will learn skills including manufacturing and repair of injection moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, press tools and others using specialised machine tools in our state of the art manufacturing facility. Toolmakers design and manufacture specialised tooling for the mass production of items we use every day, from cars to toothbrushes, every mass-produced item has a toolmaker involved at some stage.
Certificate III Engineering – Fitting/Machining (MEM30219)
As a Fitter Machinist, you will learn skills that apply to a wide range of mechanical trade, specialising in fitting, machining and assembly of fabricated parts into products, programming and setting of machine tools and production machines, installation, modification, testing, fault finding, servicing and maintenance of mechanical equipment that aligns with the demands of the company.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:
- Ability to commence Apprenticeship in January 2024
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated interested/passion in the trade
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- A current driver’s licence or access to reliable transport
