Wireless Connection to the RØDECaster Video

NDI video is now supported on the RØDECaster Video. This has been extended to the RØDE Capture app directly. This makes it simpler than ever to integrate iPhones into your workflow. This feature will allow you to stream horizontal footage from both the front and rear cameras.

To get started in RØDE Capture is simple:

  1. Ensure your RØDECaster Video is connected to your network via an Ethernet cable
  2. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same network as your RØDECaster Video via Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet adapter
  3. Open the RØDE Capture app
  4. Enable ‘NDI Cast’ in the drop-down settings
  5. Activate DUAL CAM if you want to stream from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously
  6. Activate ‘Separate’ to send two independent NDI streams, or ‘Combined’ to send a single stream with both views arranged as they appear in the app
  7. Finally, on the RØDECaster Video, set the input to ‘Network’ and select the available ‘Capture NDI’ streams
