A well-crafted dark comedy about two neighbours warring over a talking goldfish that grants wishes, Fishy Wishwas the highest scoring film among the four judges.

Acclaimed score and music mixer Kirsty Whalley (Avengers: Infinity War, The Shape Of Water et al.)  said that Fishy Wish was, “A brilliant, compact, inventive fable. Fishy Wish is technically accomplished, looks great and is absolutely a proper complete film from opening titles to closing credits.”

Fellow My RØDE Reel '18 judge, Australian director and documentary filmmaker Clara Chong agreed, saying that Fishy Wish was “The standout winner – funny, unexpected, dark, a complete story with character arc, drama, and a hell of a finish.”
