Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensures compliance with all safety policies, practices and standards.
  • Responsible for all SMT Equipment process requirements and controls.
  • Process subject matter expert in the SMT Department for the business.
  • Assisting to identify and rectify process defects thus improving First Pass Yield.
  • Design for Manufacture engineering resource for the department.
  • Assist in the training of the SMT team in all related engineering processes.

 

You will require the following skills and experience to be successful:

  • Recognised Engineering Degree is essential. (Refer to Engineers Australia website.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of Process Engineering experience in an SMT mass production environment is essential.
  • Significant skills in improving product design to increase FPY and reduce the costs to produce.
  • Programming Yamaha Pick & Place machine highly regarded.
  • Programming and process variation activities on SPI, AOI, Stencil Printer and Reflow Oven is essential.
  • Experience maintaining and creating work instructions, control plans, process flowcharts, and process failure modes effects analysis documents.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, change orders.
  • SMT Electronics design experience highly regarded.
  • Ability to present process improvements to all levels of the Business.
