ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Product Manager (Hardware), you’ll take the lead in driving RØDE’s next generation of products. From the initial spark of an idea to full-scale launch, you’ll oversee product feature development, user experience, and post-launch optimisation. You’ll be the bridge between creative concepts and tangible innovations that push the boundaries of what’s possible.
In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—Customer, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Portfolio—to make sure RØDE’s products aren’t just built, but built to inspire. You'll synthesize technology and customer insights into products that set new standards in audio and beyond. What You’ll Do:
- Drive Innovation: Lead the end-to-end product development process, ensuring that all new RØDE products are cutting-edge and customer-focused.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with NPG leadership and technical teams, as well as Customer, Engineering, and Manufacturing units, to translate business needs into comprehensive Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
- Master the Details: Manage product roadmaps, feature updates, user stories, use cases, user flows, logic flows, functional specifications and ensure smooth UX/UI implementation across product lines.
- Champion the Customer: Be the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and feedback throughout the development process.
- Lead with Data: Define and track key performance metrics to continuously optimise RØDE’s product offerings.
- Think Creatively: Ensure every product upholds RØDE’s DNA of creative, innovative, and practical solutions.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: 2-3 years of overseeing the creation and delivery of consumer-facing, mass-market electronics products that integrate both hardware and software, from concept through to manufacturing.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
- Communication: High-level ability to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions.
- A deep understanding of product management within a matrix organisation.
- The ability to balance creativity with technical excellence, ensuring product designs meet both user expectations and RØDE’s high standards.
- An analytical mindset with a passion for staying ahead of trends in wireless audio, video devices, and companion apps.
