Creating and Editing Graphics with Figma

RØDE Figma Templates

To make it simpler for you to create graphics to use with your RØDECaster Video, we have created a range of tailor-made graphics in a variety of different themes that you can use as overlays, lower-thirds, title screens and frames for your multi-source layouts. Simply click the button below and follow the instructions to edit and download your graphics as PNG files with transparent layers.

With your RØDECaster Video connected to your computer (via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB 2), open the Scene Builder within RØDE Central. Import your graphics files by simply clicking “Add Media” from the media library on the left-hand side, and then browsing for the files on your computer.

Using Lower-thirds, Title Cards and Overlays

Once in your media library, you can click the Overlay function button (so that it lights blue) and drag the files you wish to use onto any of the seven buttons (A-G). You can now enable an overlay by pressing the Overlay function button and then one of the Scene buttons (A-G) on your RØDECaster Video.

When enabling an overlay, it will appear over the top of your live Program feed until you disable it again. This is perfect for titles, lower-thirds and similar graphics which you want to remain on-screen, even if you’re switching camera angles beneath it.

Using Frame Templates in a Scene

With your frame templates loaded into your media library, you can add these to your scene by following these steps:

  1. Click an empty Scene button (A-G) and select ‘Template’ from the right-hand side to begin creating a scene on that button
  2. Under the ‘Layout’ dropdown, select the layout that matches the frame template you wish to use
  3. Beneath this, click each of the frames (A, B, C, D) and select which inputs or media you wish to assign to them
  4. Click the ‘Layout’ dropdown once more and select ‘Custom’
  5. Click the left-hand side of the ‘BG’ layer and drag it to the top of the list in order to bring it to the front of your scene
  6. Drag your frame template onto the 'BG' layer
